Submissions
Two windows a year, in March and September. Reading is free and we answer within 60 days, always with a line of feedback — we do not send silence.
What we look for
- Work made in the Portuguese-speaking Black Atlantic, or about it, or from within its diaspora — as the photographer’s position, not as an illustrated subject.
- Work that needs a book: sequence, rhythm, page turn and silence doing something the wall cannot.
- Years of research, not a series from one trip.
What we do not publish
- Commissioned exhibition catalogues — that is the bespoke production line, a different door.
- Institutional anniversary books.
- A bound portfolio: a set of good photographs is not yet a book.
